Behan’s journey ends

July 28, 2012

Ireland’s Kieran Behan has scored 13.966 in his favoured floor event at the London Games.

Coming into the event Behan was tipped to score highly in his heat and advance to the finals.

However, two stumbles on his final two landings damaged his score significantly, dropping him to 16th out of 21 overall.

With only eight gymnasts making the floor final, Behan’s journey in the event comes to a premature end.

Behan’s qualification story has been an unexpected positive leading into these games and he has shown he can mix with the best and proud to have represented his country with distinction.
